The Adventures in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Conference will be held again this year. Breakout sessions will feature classroom teachers and other experts presenting in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. These include engineering in the elementary classroom, Student Response Systems, SMARTboards, Google Docs, Word Clouds, Math Foldables, and practical ideas to use in your math and science classroom. Robotics Teams and Lego Leagues will be demonstrating. 4 Contact hours are available. 

 

Featured Speakers: Cindy Lane and Bret Gensburg

Cindy Lane is an Educator, Instructional Technologist and a Network Sherpa. She is also an adjunct professor for SBU, Mizzou, St. Louis Community College and eLearning for MO educators.   She further assists teachers in her roles as a Discovery Education certified trainer, Master Trainer for Intel Teach to the Future, an eMINTS Instructional Trainer and Missouri's first Google Certified Teacher. She has presented at state, national and international conferences for the past eight years and written articles for Educational Publications. She recently contributed to a book titled Retool Your School highlighting the educational uses of Google and is currently working on another book entitled Show and Teach; a Technology guide to Visual Literacy. Cindy has facilitated a Google Teacher Academy in Chicago and she is the founder of the GCT/CUE Dinner Club Webinar Series, a monthly presentation that is able to be viewed by the 300+ Google Certified Teachers around the world. Cindy is extremely innovative and resourceful and specializes in finding unique and creative ways to use traditional computer tools in the classroom.  Find all Cindy's links here!
Formerly of the Alliance City High School Mathematics Department, Bret Gensburg is now working and studying at the University of Akron, studying for his doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Technology Integration. Bret is a SMART Certified Master’s Trainer for the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and SMART Notebook software. Bret has presented at many state and national conferences. Bret founded Eagle Technology Integrations, LLC a company designed to assist in the integration of instructional technologies and the home of SMART BUGs which stands for SMART Board User Group.  Find Bret's links here!

Registration Costs

$10 for Trumbull County Title II and CORE Districts.  These include: Bloomfield Mespo, Bristol, Brookfield, Champion, Girard City, Howland, Hubbard Exempted Village, Joseph Badger, LaBrae, Lakeview, Liberty, Lordstown, Maplewood, Mathews, McDonald, Newton Falls, Niles, TCESC, Southington, and Weathersfield. 

$35 for TCTC, Warren City, all non public and any of those outside of Trumbull County.
